It's all delicious and not stomach churning.

Maki-san gave me a half day today! Yay! So, a bunch of us went to town today. We only went for a few hours, but it was ok. Angel and I did purikura at MegaStage and I won myself a cute little cat plushie charm thing.
And there was a really cute poster in the train station advertising an onsen resort, I think. It has an onsen fairy on it! I wish all places actually had an onsen fairy. That would be crazy cute!
We were gonna get parfaits for a snack, but they were really expensive! And we were hungry for more than a parfait, so we got KFC instead. Ahahaha. I still say that the KFC over here is MUCH better than in Canada. Like, soooo much better! It's all delicious and not stomach churning. I got a Wa-Fu Cutlet sandwhich. I think that just means sweet barbeque sauce sandwhich. It was so freaking good!
After lunch, we did some more purikura avec Liam and Zoe. It was hilarious. Angel and I decorated them, but Angel has them and I haven't gotten mine from the sheet yet. I'll post a picture of that, later. It was fun, though. And town was sooo warm today! Like 17°C~! It was glorious! And sunny! And windy... So, I had a LOT of Marilyn moments, sadly. Ahaha...

After we got home, I asked Maki-san to take a few photos for us. We were all jazzed up, anyway. I like this outfit. I may wear it more often. :3

No idea what it's from, but it was cute!

Oh hey y'all~ I forgot I had a blog. AHAHAHAHA.

...Sorry.

Anywho~ The past couple weeks have had field trips! Last week the reception staff went to town for Angel's leaving dinner and then yesterday I went to town avec David and George. Good times were had!

So, for Angel's dinner, she decided she wanted okonomiyaki. So, we hitched a ride with Megumi and off we went. It was fun! Maki-san had never had okomiyaki before, though! So, she had no idea what to order and how to make it! Angel taught her and everyone laughed since it was weird for a gaijin to teach her how. Ahahaha. But, it was good! I like okonomiyaki, but in small doses. Maybe twice a year. I've had it 3 times in less than 3 weeks, so I think I'm good. Lol. But yeah, good dinner! I only have one photo and it's of Maki-san!
So, after dinner we drove over to SegaWorld because Angel wanted Team Reception purikura. And she wanted to do two! There were a lot of girls at the purikura booths when we got there. So, we had to wait out turn. But then, it was out turn and we did one. Maki-san had no idea what to do, so we just told her to mimic the example photos. And she got really into it! Lol. And then we all did and there was a lot of shuffling to move about the booth! It was hilarious! We did another one after and we all decorated them. It was awesome! And there was a new booth there. It had some cute English on the side!
And then it was home time. We got a ride back with Haruka, because Megumi can't drive well in the dark. Megumi followed us in her car. It started to snow very heavily when we left Shirakawa! Like, white out conditions! It was horrible! And poor Haruka, she was in her sister's car, so she wasn't used to it! When you get close to BH, there's some really steep hills you have to drive up. And the car just couldn't do it! The car actually stalled! So, we had to drive back down and park in a rest stop area, then Megumi picked us up and drove all of us home. Ahahaha. It was really funny, though!

And then yesterday I went to town with George and David. And they wanted okonmomiyaki for lunch. Go figure. So, they ordered that and I got gyoza. Yum~ George also doesn't usually do pictures, but I coaxed one out of him.
After lunch we wandered about and did some shopping. It was just a nice trip to town. David won a prize for me from SegaWorld. No idea what it's from, but it was cute!
And then it was time for dinner. And for dinner we got SUSHI! Conveyor belt sushi! Yay! It was yummy. I love it. And our special sushi came out on a rocket ship this time! It was so yummy. I ate like 6 plates. Ahahaha. That's a lot. But, at 105yen per plate it's super cheap!
I also took a video to demonstrate the amazingness of conveyor belt sushi. BEHOLD!
Yes. It is just TOO AMAZING. Just sayin~

Anywho, that's it for now.

Oh! I didn't die in that freaking typhoon! It was crazy intense, though! Like, woah! I couldn't believe the winds! I think if I had an umbrella I would've been Mary Poppins!

And we basically just sat about, talked, carried on (my wayward son AHAHAHAA) and just had a good time.

I treated Angel to a Refectory dinner a few nights ago. She had planned a Princess Party for her goodbye soiree, and everyone was encouraged to get all dolled up and wear dresses. Of course, Angel, I and Talia all had gowns from our (failed) ball plans in January. So, we all wore them and the girls wore dresses or borrowed from us.

But, to start, Angel and I went and did dinner. It was niiice. And the menu was amazing! We had a few schools in that night and some of the girls were going mental over our gowns. They kept calling us 'very beautiful' and asking if we were cosplaying Disney princesses! It was so sweet! A few even asked for photos!
So, we walked into Refectory and everyone was making us feel all special. Talia was our server and she decorated our plates!
Angel got sparkling wine with dinner and I got sparkling grapefruit. Like I said, our menu was amazing! We got the roast beef like normal and there was duck, potato soup and mint sorbet! And more, but those are the things that stick out the most.
Our first course was a kind of pork pate. It was served with bread and fruit and it was really tasty! It was more bland than anything, but it was soft and yummy. And the fruit was awesome. BH doesn't really do a lot of fruit with staff kitchen meals, so yay!
The next course was a duck course! Duuuuck! It was served cold but it was so tasty! There were pickled veggies served with it and they were ok, but I didn't eat them. Ahahaha. I tried the lotus root, though. I get the feeling I might like it if it wasn't pickled.
Yummm. And then it was time for my favourite course. CREAM of POTATO SOUP! YUMMMMMM! It's my favourite thing everrrr! Sooo yummy! I want to learn how to make it so I can have it more often. We specially requested this, too. We both stopped talking while we ate it as fast as we could. Ahahaha.
Next was lamb in a tomato sauce type thing. I'm still not big on lamb, but I ate a few bites to be polite. It wasn't bad, but I just don't like lamb. Bleck.
And I'm sure you're thinking "Wow. She finally remembered to takes pictures of every course!" I'm impressed with myself too, I assure you. <3 So, after lamb was our palette cleanser course. We had mint sorbet. And it was divine. I looove mint!
And then it was time for ROAST BEEEEEF! And it was just as glorious as it always is! Yumyumyum! I almost forgot to take a photo, I was just too eager to eat it!
Oh man. SOOO GOOOOD. I wish I could eat it every night! And then it was dessert time. It was the same as I had last time, but still really tasty. Although, the sad part is that we were laced into our gowns so tightly that we couldn't finish!
And then Zoe and Holly came to visit! Now, Zoe and Holly worked on Disney cruise ships together and they used to do cute napkin things for the kids. And they offered to make us Minnie Mouse napkin bows. Ahahaha. How could I resist? And then they made a Peter Pan hat for themselves!
So after our amazing dinner, we staggered to the second floor to take some photos. We also attempted to use the bathroom. It felt like my wedding all over! Trying to use the facilities in a big gown is not as easy as you'd think!
We then proceeded over to ze Pub for a good party! All the girls came over and were dressed in dresses and the boys came over and we made smores! REAL smores! It was GLORIOUS! YUMMM! I haven't had a smore in like a billion years. Maybe more. It was awesome. And we basically just sat about, talked, carried on (my wayward son AHAHAHAA) and just had a good time. It was lots of fun!

The song so amazing that we weren't able to sing half of it.

I just bought a few things online. More Liz Lisa dresses! All the dresses! All of them! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
...Well, actually, no. I bought 2 sundresses and a cute pen. And I bought a dress from another shop, Secret Magic. And after buying those, I remembered that I had photos to update my blog with. So, hi.

We went on a karaoke party with Michie-san recently. On the 20th it was a bank holiday in Japan ("Shunbun no Hi" which is basically a Spring Equinox day) and we ended up going out for dinner and then karaoke after. It was really sweet of Michie-san to organize this all for us! And she's just the cutest lady on the planet! We all love her. I worked until 5 and everyone was going to town at 4, so Michie-san arranged for a taxi for me, David, Zoe and Talia! We left BH at about 6pm and got to DoTonBori at about 6:35. Faaast!

So, we started out at DoTonBori for okonmomiyaki. David and I split a pizza one and got gyoza, too. And wow! It really DID taste like pizza! True story! It was crazy! And delicious! Michie-san got yakisoba (fried noodles) and she insisted on sharing with us all. She didn't eat the meat in it, either, so she told us to eat it. The food was all really good! We had to sit at two different tables, though, since they were busy. I sat at a table with David, Angel, Holly and Michie-san!
After dinner we walked over to Big Echo. It's basically about a 45 second walk from one place to the other. We got a really good deal, too! Michie-san haggled with them before we got there and it turned out to be 2 hours with unlimited drinks for 2,000yen. And that's unlimited alcoholic drinks, too. I didn't drink, but I got fancy drinks! I also got a plate of chocolate french toast, since dinner didn't fill me up.
We sang a lot! I looove karaoke! It's always a laugh! Angel and I did our traditional rendition of It's a Sin by the Pet Shop Boys and I think Liam recorded it on his iPhone. He hasn't posted it to facebook, though. But, when he does, I'll swipe it! I also sang If I Had a Gun by Noel Gallagher and Two Become One by the Spice Girls. And Angel and I sang I'll Make a Man out of You from Mulan! AHAHAHAHA! It was hilarious! I like the songs where everyone sings! We sang a lot of Bon Jovi, actually. Ahahah.
And then, David found it. The song so amazing that we weren't able to sing half of it. Oh yeah. That's song?
That's right! Cha La Head Cha La! From Dragon Ball Z! It was amazing. We all belted it out. Even Michie-san was singing it! And actually, she sang My Endless Love and another song by Sarah Brightman and it was the cutest thing EVER! Seriously. Awwww. And it was really funny seeing her drinking beer from one of those huge pint mugs. Lol.
By the end of the night we were all super happy. The boys kept singing Linkin Park and DragonQuest and other random stuff. Lol. But, still. Good times!
And then we went home. It was an awesome night. We caught a taxi bus home and just all chatted and had a good time. Holly sat in the back with David and me. I love Holly. She's a sweetie. Also, we decided that David should try on the tiara Angel bought me for our princess dinner.
Isn't he cuuute?
